A TIME TO DO A REALITY CHECK
Beware My Comments Are Initially Not Encouraging

Peer pressure, very judgmental people, cheating on partners, lies, low self- esteem, emotional ups and downs, 10% of work force does 90% of the work. Media reporting all bad, parents challenged, teachers overworked and GOD is a myth. We live in a time that is getting close to desperate unless cooler heads prevail and people stop going from bad to worse in my generation, the Baby Boomers. We as a generation are too critical and self absorbed. We walked away from ‘DO UNTO OTHERS AS YOU WOULD HAVE THEM DO TO YOU...’

We never gave it a chance due to the ‘60’s and Vietnam War. Our generation went from having Faith to disregarding Faith and now the younger generations are confused and agnostic. We have not served well at all as positive role models.
But I saw a quote that made great sense to pass on with HOPE. The quote is "ALL THE DIFFICULTiES THAT VISIT YOU ARE MEANT ONLY TO STIMULATE YOU TO HIGHER ACHIEVEMENT". Please look and think of this quote and serve it well you younger generations because it does happen and at first it's a risk but than it turns into an accomplishment.

You young people at heart: go into the third world for a month and we will finance your trip and than reward you when you come back. Details will emerge in subsequent issues. When you visit the impoverished, yes at first it will be a challenge but in days your minds will open to seeing how awful others have it
BUT don'l complain much.

Nothing will change you for the better than experiencing a few weeks that will soften your hearts and make you a better person by helping others than my generation was suppose to be. John F. Kennedy wanted us to do lt with the Peace Corps. Afew did

but JFK would go along with a lesser commitment if it meant that the world was going to get better because of you the next generations. There are many GOOD organizations that worldwide volunteer and need your service for just a few weeks in the other sides of the world. We will finance it, my generation. I guarantee that. ln less than 3 years a new American President will inherit a mess that the current president, Bush has made. lf we are lucky and not much worse happens due to our nations greed, the new leader will tix things because new fresh administrations always get off to a good start but the next administration will have nowhere else to go but up. Either Hillary Clinton or Rudi Giuliani would serve well. Hillary has the experience with the presidency and we get Bill back. Giuliani will fix America like he fixed New York. New York was a mess when he inherited it in 1993 and now is great again only because Giuliani for 8 years was dedicated to fixing New York and survived 9-11. John F. Kennedy said well “”Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you could do for your country ......... I amend the second part of his statement, ‘FINALLY ask what you can do for your country' as my generation started but than stopped after 8 seconds in Dallas on Nov. 22, 1963. In 1968 my generation gave up and never has recovered after that harrowing year with the losses of MLK & RFK.

Americans are wonderful people deep down but its government is not at this time and may be the worst government to be with Foreign Affairs and how my generation would welcome Nixon back on a red carpet if he were alive. The torch will be passed to you the new generation in the next presidential election. Make sure you go with whoever will tix the mess we are in.
